Ranger powers upwind in a strong 20 knot westerly on her way to Classic Division victory!

This year Rangers focus is more on community, taking part in the Nantucket Race week with Nantucket community sailing allowing them to offer sailing for all ages and abilities, free outreach programs, and sailing scholarships.

The forecast for Sundays Opera House Cup held true and the 42 boat strong fleet battled through 20-23 knot winds. Ranger, perfectly suited to the conditions managed to power past all but 11 boats finishing just 10 minute behind the overall leader having started last almost two hours after the first boat.

Ranger however passed all the competitors in the Classic Division giving her the Division win. She also took the award for the fastest elapsed time over the course finishing in 1 hour 53 minutes and 7 seconds.
